HP – Xmas Catalogue

BACKGROUND

HP utilizes the talents of the best designers and engineers to create notebooks and PCs that integrate the latest in technology, advanced materials and intuitive experiences, fitting seamlessly into the lives of consumers. Whether it’s the wonders of HP TouchSmart PC’s touch-screen technology, the impeccable studio-quality sounds of the HP Envy 14 Beats Edition notebook or the go-anywhere portability of the HP Mini 210, HP consistently wows its consumers with technology that amplifies the senses.

THE CHALLENGE

The aim was to showcase the technological innovations from one of the nation’s favourite computer brand, as well as raise awareness of HP as a one-stop shop, driving sales online and in store. The Christmas Catalog is HP’s key selling tool at Christmas and we had to make sure it stood out in the crowded gift market. We also had to handpick the best of the best from HP’s range of products – a tough task – and make them come alive. There was also a special Adidas and Titan promotion that we had to highlight.

THE SOLUTION

Taking the theme of “Christmas Cheer” and the colour red as our design elements, we started off with a vision to create something on brand, but not predictable. And that’s exactly what we did. Alongside beautifully photographed products and a fun Christmassy look and feel, we added carefully crafted copy that conveyed qualities that would help it connect with the specific audiences we targeted – which ranged from executives to students, from gamers to music lovers. We talked to the HP customer in a friendly and informal way. We wanted them to keep their Christmas wish lists ready, coz even if a certain ‘happy fat guy in a red suit’ gives their home a miss, HP’s always there.

HP was delighted with the consumer response – and so were we! An unprecedented 34% increase in sales was only a metric. An appreciation mail from their CMO – that was what sealed the deal.
